Raison
Eye Hospital
Raison, Distt.
Kullu, HP |
Raison
Eye Hospital, Village raison in Distt.
Kullu, in Himachal Pradesh is situated
about 14 kms. from Kullu in the Kullu-Manali
valley.
The medical facilities in the hill areas
are under-developed and inadequate.
Distances are difficult to cover and
at many places motorable roads are also
not available. It is our endeavour to
reach out to the poor who need urgent
attention.
|
|
NSPB-India
has been running an Eye Hospital in
this village since 1977. The hospital
is an icon for delivery of eye care
services in the region. The hospital
at present is running in specially constructed
metal sheds. We need to up-grade and
renovate the hospital and construct
a new building for its OPD and Operation
Theatre.
Over the years, the hospital has served
70,000+ patients, operated upon 7,500+
cases, screened over 70,000+ school
children, distributed 4,700+ free spectacles
and 9,000+ refractions have been done.
Many out-reach camps in the remote areas
have been undertaken.
