NSPB AWARDS
In order to recognize the good work done by people of India in the field of Community Ophthalmology, National Society for the Prevention of Blindness-India has instituted National Awards for Outstanding Work in Community Ophthalmology.

The awards for the year 2006-2007 are being given to Dr. M.C. Nahata, Hony. President of NSPB Indore Branch and Dr. Sunandan Sood, Professor & Head, Department of Ophthalmology at the Government Medical College and Hospital, Chandigarh. The award for the year 2007-2008 is being given to Dr. Meena Chakrabarti of Chakrabarti Eye Centre, Trivandrum.

These awards will be presented by Smt. Panabaaka Lakshmi, Hon'ble Union Minister of State, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare at a function to be held on 11th December, 2008 at the Speaker Hall, Constitution Club, Vithal Bhai Patel House, Rafi Marg, New Delhi.
